This summer Girls Unite players are invited to take part in optional sand soccer training sessions!
Sand soccer training has become a popular way to supplement soccer training and develop advanced technical soccer skills while enjoying time at the beach in the summer. Sand soccer training is great for joint and muscle strength and conditioning. It helps players improve overall skill, endurance, control, leg strength and core strength.
We will be offering summer sand soccer practices Monday evenings through June and most of July. Trainings will include fun and fast-paced drills and beach soccer matches. These will be optional drop-in sessions, with suggested donation $5-10/session to help cover expenses and coaching staff.
For players: Wear sand soccer socks or barefoot. No cleats or shin guards needed. Bring plenty of water, hair pulled back, and be in athletic clothes. You may want to bring layers as San Francisco weather can be unpredictable. 🙂
