Girls Unite First-Time Referee Training Course

Girls Unite is committed to increasing the quantity and quality of female-identifying soccer referees in Northern California.  Girls Unite head coach and veteran referee Shalom Kimble serves as a mentor to new and aspiring referees.  Her goal is to help female-identifying and non-binary individuals feel empowered, serve our community, and take leadership positions as referees in youth soccer by building confidence and knowledge via focused training and networking with peers.

The course requires completion of independent online modules followed by on-field training (8/11/22 4-7pm West Sunset Fields in San Francisco). All participants who receive a passing grade and pass a background check will be certified as soccer referees. Instructors will also provide information and tips about next steps to begin working as a soccer referee in SF.

Aspiring referees must pre-register with USSoccer and complete pre-work before attending the field session! Sign up before all spots are filled!
