We Change Lives One Goal at a Time

Girls Unite is San Francisco-based non-profit soccer club that provides a female-centered training environment designed to elevate the youth soccer experience for players of all ages and aspirations. We offer all levels of play from micro soccer to recreational to competitive travel and winter futsal.

Why Girls Unite Matters

At Girls Unite, we believe soccer is more than just a game—it’s a powerful tool for empowerment, leadership, and creating safe, inclusive spaces where young players can thrive.

Girls Unite was founded in 2015 with a singular vision: to center girls in youth sports, providing a positive and rigorous environment where they are genuinely supported and valued both on and off the pitch. We see each of our players through a holistic lens and encourage and support their learning and growth to be their best selves value their ability to learn and grow. We aim to build soccer skills, character, and community.

Our Impact

With an all-female coaching staff, robust mentorship programs, and year-round player development, Girls Unite shapes more than athletes—we nurture leaders. Our innovative approach has already proven effective:

  • Breaking Barriers for Women in Coaching: We’re one of the few clubs to offer health and retirement benefits for coaches, making coaching a sustainable career option and attracting high-caliber female role models for our players.

  • Fostering Inclusivity and Equity: Through programs and initiatives rooted in diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB), we ensure every player feels valued and empowered. Today, 10% of Girls Unite players receive scholarships, ensuring that financial barriers don’t hinder a young athlete’s dreams.

  • Inspiring Leadership: Our players gain essential life skills—teamwork, resilience, and self-advocacy—that extend far beyond the field.

Girls Unite is more than a soccer club—it’s a community where young girls are empowered to lead on and off the field.
